A fatal motorcycle crash is under investigation by the Manteca Police Department, following an incident that occurred on Monday morning. The collision occurred on West Yosemite Avenue near Fishback Road, just before 9 a.m.
According to authorities, a man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on West Yosemite Avenue, while a woman was driving an SUV in the opposite direction, attempting to turn onto Fishback Road. Unfortunately, the bike and the SUV collided, resulting in the motorcyclist sustaining fatal injuries and succumbing to the scene.
The police have determined that DUI was not a contributing factor in the Manteca motorcycle accident. However, initial investigations suggest that speed may have played a role.
