Hit-and-Run Collision Claims Life of Blue Jay Man in Lake Arrowhead

[Lake Arrowhead, CA] In Lake Arrowhead, a hit-and-run collision on March 16 claimed the life of a Blue Jay man, and authorities are urging the public to provide any information that could help identify the suspected driver.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Ubaldo Gonzalez, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. The victim was walking along Highway 189, east of the Blue Jay Cutoff when a westbound vehicle struck him and fled the scene. Tragically, the victim, identified as 64-year-old James White from Blue Jay, was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Monday, no arrests had been made, and Officer Gonzalez described a dark-colored sports utility vehicle as a possible vehicle of interest.
