The Annual May Ride

The May Ride was born from the shared effort of riding by friends Clint August and Marc Baluch, Harley Davidson owners of over 18 years. The goals were to promote freedom on open roads and to encourage riders’ strong commitment to benefit events.

In 2003, sparked by a conversation about honoring our Armed Forces heroes, Marc’s suggestion to organize a motorcycle run to raise funds received enthusiastic support from Clint. Thus, the inaugural “May Ride” materialized.

From then, each subsequent year saw the May Ride expand, driven by a steadfast circle of friends and dedicated volunteers meticulously orchestrating a memorable experience that pays tribute to both past and present military service. Now boasting 500-600 riders and over 5,000 post-event revelers, the May Ride has become a monumental annual gathering that makes it a must for your list of motorcycle events in California.
