CORONA, CA — An LAPD motorcycle officer was injured Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on the 91 Freeway, prompting traffic disruptions and an active investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Details of the Collision
The crash was reported at approximately 12:13 p.m., east of Green River Road, CHP officials said. A witness told investigators that the motorcycle officer was struck by another vehicle, causing the officer to fall onto the freeway lanes.
After the officer was ejected, the unmanned motorcycle continued traveling, collided with a second vehicle, and ultimately crashed into a right-shoulder wall.
While authorities have not released full details about the officer’s injuries, a witness reported that the officer was seen standing and walking, though visibly injured and holding his right side. LAPD officials coordinated the recovery of the motorcycle using a department tow truck.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the officer was on duty at the time of the collision. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash, including whether driver negligence or unsafe driving conditions played a role.

- Medical expenses and ongoing treatment
- Lost wages and diminished earning capacity
- Pain, suffering, and physical impairment
- Long-term rehabilitation or disability-related costs
