Ventura Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Santa Barbara Man

[Ventura, CA] The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal solo motorcycle accident on northbound Highway 101 as 76-year-old Richard Vincent from Santa Barbara. The incident occurred on Wednesday night near San Padre Juan Canyon Road above Faria Beach, at the beginning of a construction zone and new traffic pattern.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Vincent, riding a 1991 Harley Davidson, veered from the traffic bypass lane and collided with the right concrete K-rail bordering the construction zone. The impact ejected him from the bike, resulting in fatal injuries.

CHP officers and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene, making efforts to save Vincent’s life, but he was pronounced dead at the accident site. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the victim.

The Ventura motorcycle crash is currently under investigation, and the CHP urges any witnesses to come forward and provide information by contacting their Ventura area office at (805) 662-2640.
