Tragic Motorcycle Collision in Venice Claims Life of 37-Year-Old Rider [Venice, CA]

Venice, California – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has officially identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle collision in Venice. The 37-year-old motorcyclist, William Evans-Phelps, tragically lost his life in the incident.

The incident unfolded at approximately 10:55 P.M. last Friday, at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Lake Street, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department. According to law enforcement, Mr. Evans-Phelps was traveling southbound on Lincoln Boulevard when he collided with the passenger side of a vehicle driven by an 81-year-old man, who was attempting to make a westbound turn onto Lake Street.

Brian Humphrey, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, confirmed that paramedics arrived at the scene but were regrettably forced to pronounce Mr. Evans-Phelps deceased on-site.

In a commendable display of responsibility, the elderly motorist, who declined medical attention, remained at the scene of the accident, cooperating fully with the authorities, as noted by Humphrey.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Mr. Phelps’ family and friends.
