Motorcyclist Killed in Solo Crash in Santa Cruz Mountains

La Honda, California — A 36-year-old motorcyclist lost his life on November 3 in a solo crash on Skyline Boulevard, just north of Page Mill Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The incident occurred in the afternoon on State Route 35, where initial reports indicate no other vehicles were involved. Officer Sophie Lu of the California Highway Patrol’s Redwood City division confirmed that no debris on the roadway might suggest the presence of additional drivers at the time of the accident.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and details regarding the motorcycle’s make and model have not yet been released. The accident resulted in the temporary closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of Skyline Boulevard, complicating communication due to poor reception in the area.

Motorcyclists are reminded to prioritize safety while navigating California’s beautiful yet challenging roads. We extend our deepest sympathy to the rider’s loved ones during this time of grief.
