BAKERSFIELD, California — A motorcyclist injured following a collision that occurred on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, in southwest Bakersfield is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

The incident unfolded around 4:25 p.m. at the junction of Ashe Road and Taft Highway, where a motorcyclist and another vehicle collided, leaving the rider with severe injuries.

According to authorities, the collision occurred when the motorcyclist attempted a left turn at the intersection, resulting in a collision with the other vehicle. The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries as a consequence of the crash.
