LOS ANGELES, California — In an incident on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, a motorcycle police officer was caught in a collision on the 405 Freeway near Mar Vista, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
The distress call was received approximately at 6:30 p.m., in the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway, situated between Palms and National boulevards. Video footage captured at the scene unveiled the aftermath of the collision involving three vehicles – the officer’s motorcycle, an SUV, and a compact car. Prompt response from first responders was evident as they attended to at least one individual on-site.
Identification of the specific department to which the officer belonged remained unconfirmed by the officials involved. However, the Los Angeles Fire Department affirmed that a minimum of two individuals were promptly transported to the hospital.
