A 29-year-old man from Hayward was killed in a bicycle accident on the 880 Freeway in Hayward late Sunday evening. The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near Tennyson Road when the victim collided with a vehicle.
The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He has not been identified yet. The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
According to the Hayward Police Department, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
