FRESNO, California — Authorities are currently probing the circumstances surrounding a fatal motorcycle crash resulting in the death of an individual on April 7th, 2024.
The incident unfolded shortly before 2:30 a.m. this past Sunday along the connector linking Highway 99 and Highway 180. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), an eyewitness observed the man operating the motorcycle at a notably high velocity along the connector.
Subsequently, CHP reports indicate that the rider veered off the roadway, colliding with a light pole, and was subsequently thrown from the motorcycle. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Law enforcement officials suspect that both alcohol consumption and excessive speed played significant roles in the occurrence of the crash.
