A 25-year-old rider, Lorenzo Algood, passed away in a motorcycle crash in Martinez on Sunday, August 13, 2023. The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Pacheco Boulevard near Vine Avenue.
Lorenzo was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he collided with an illegally parked Nissan pickup truck. Paramedics arrived quickly at the scene and took Lorenzo to the hospital, but unfortunately, he didn’t survive.
The coroner’s office has now identified him, but the exact cause of the crash is still unknown. If anyone has more information about the incident, please contact the CHP Contra Costa office.
