Victim Identified In San Gabriel Freeway Motorcycle Crash

A tragic motorcycle accident on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Baldwin Park claimed the life of 34-year-old Armando Coronado from La Puente, as reported by authorities on Monday.

The incident took place at 1:55 a.m. on Sunday. Coronado was riding a 2018 Harley Davidson northbound on the freeway, just south of the San Bernardino (10) Freeway, when his motorcycle veered off the road, hitting an attenuator. The impact threw Coronado into oncoming traffic, where he was hit by two vehicles, a 2017 Honda and a 2015 Mercedes-Benz.

Despite the emergency services’ quick response, Coronado was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Honda and the Mercedes-Benz, along with a passenger in the latter vehicle, were unharmed.

California Highway Patrol Officer R. Lawson confirmed that the San Gabriel freeway motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
