Tragic Nighttime Collision Claims Lives of Two Riverdale Motorcyclists

A devastating collision late Thursday night claimed the lives of two motorcyclists, Adell Vaughn, 43, and Catlin Lewis, 38, both from Riverdale, as confirmed by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. The incident occurred on Mt. Whitney west of Garfield avenues and was promptly reported by a passerby.

Initial investigations by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicate that the two motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions when they tragically collided. Notably, neither of the motorcycles was equipped with proper lighting for nighttime conditions. Furthermore, neither Vaughn nor Lewis was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and both were ejected upon impact.

Although the two men often rode together, neither was believed to be impaired at the time of the accident. The CHP continues its investigation to uncover further details surrounding the tragic Riverdale motorcycle accident.
