Off-Duty Officer Loses Life in Anaheim Motorcycle Crash

Anaheim witnessed a sorrowful event Monday when an off-duty Garden Grove police officer, Cpl. Han Cho, tragically lost his life. The unfortunate incident occurred near Euclid Street and Glenoaks Avenue when Cho’s motorcycle collided with a car.

The Anaheim Police Department, represented by Sgt. Jon McClintock, confirmed that officers arrived at the scene shortly after 3 p.m. Both Cpl. Cho and the car’s driver were rushed to the hospital.

Sadly, Cho, a dedicated officer with the Police Department for 28 years, did not survive. The car’s driver, who endured minor to moderate injuries, required extrication from his vehicle.

Serving the Neighborhood Traffic Unit for years, Cho’s dedication and service will be deeply missed. The Garden Grove Police Assn. announced plans to coordinate memorial arrangements and donations with Cho’s family, sharing the news on social media platforms.

While the investigation into the Anaheim motorcycle crash is ongoing, Sgt. McClintock clarified that impairment was not a contributing factor.
