ALTADENA, CA — An off-duty California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer has died following a motorcycle crash, according to department officials.
Officer Eric Voss, who was stationed in the Altadena area, passed away Saturday after sustaining critical injuries in a motorcycle collision that occurred Friday morning. CHP confirmed the death in a statement shared on social media.
“Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries while surrounded by family,” the department said.
