Oakview Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash

Ventura, California — A 23-year-old Oakview resident suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run crash near Emma Wood State Beach on Monday, May 6, 2024, afternoon, as reported by California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.

The incident occurred on Highway 1 when a sedan collided with the motorcyclist, causing him to be thrown from his bike. CHP officers arrived at the scene to find the victim away from his motorcycle, in critical condition with fractures to his right arm and legs, along with a brain hemorrhage.

The injured motorcyclist was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

CHP is investigating the crash, and the driver of the sedan is reported to have fled the scene promptly after the collision. Authorities urge anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to contact Ventura area CHP at 805-662-2640.
