Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in Citrus Heights

Citrus Heights, California — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon following a crash in Citrus Heights. The collision, which occurred on Antelope Road between Mariposa Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard, was reported just after 3:15 p.m., leading to the immediate closure of eastbound Antelope Road for an ongoing investigation.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District confirmed that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene around 4 p.m. Authorities have stated that initial findings indicate alcohol was not a factor in the crash. 

The Citrus Heights Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after notifying family members.
