Los Angeles, California — Authorities confirmed that a motorcyclist was killed early Friday morning, August 2, in a deadly crash on the 405 Freeway in the North Hills area.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to reports of an accident on the northbound lanes near Nordhoff Street at approximately 2:10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a motorcyclist and a dark sedan involved in the collision, both situated in the middle lanes of the freeway.
Tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Following the incident, a SigAlert was issued, leading to the closure of all northbound lanes for several hours. Traffic resumed at around 6:40 a.m. as the freeway was reopened to motorists.
