Motorcyclist Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Chula Vista, CA

CHULA VISTA, California – A motorcyclist lost his life on Thursday after a tragic motorcycle accident in California. According to local authorities, the event occurred on Telegraph Canyon Road.

The incident was reported at approximately 4:44 p.m., when the driver of a 2005 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle, traveling westbound in the 700 block of Telegraph Canyon Road, lost control and collided with a median. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the impact ejected the motorcyclist into the eastbound traffic lanes.

Moments later, the motorcyclist was struck by a dark gray 2006 Honda Accord driven by a 56-year-old woman from Spring Valley. The driver stopped her vehicle immediately after the accident and was uninjured, according to the police report.

Paramedics and police officers quickly arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but unfortunately, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the spot. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.

The driver of the Honda Accord is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Police confirmed that, at this time, there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident.
