Motorcycle Crash in East County Claims Life of 65-Year-Old Rider

A 65-year-old man lost his life in East County after crashing his motorcycle, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on State Route 67 near Slaughterhouse Canyon Road. For reasons still under investigation, the man, whose identity remains undisclosed, veered off the roadway and collided with a concrete curb. The impact caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle, leading to fatal injuries. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by CHP Public Information Officer Jared Grieshaber.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being probed by authorities, and it is yet to be determined if drugs or alcohol played a role in the tragic event. As the investigation continues, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release the identity of the deceased rider.
