Motorcycle Crash Claims Lives in California-Nevada State Line

CLARK COUNTY, California — A devastating motorcycle crash near the California-Nevada state line has resulted in the loss of three lives. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 23, 2024, just south of Cal-Nev-Ari and west of Laughlin, shocking residents and authorities alike.

Reports indicate that the collision, involving a semi-truck and several motorcycles, occurred at approximately 2:38 p.m. at State Route 163, adjacent to U.S. Highway 95, a bustling thoroughfare connecting the two states.

The accident prompted the closure of all surrounding roads to facilitate a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision. However, by 5 p.m., authorities managed to reopen U.S. Highway 95, easing traffic congestion in the area.

Kim Yoko Smith, the public information officer for the Nevada State Police, confirmed the reopening of the highway and assured that the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Smith expressed condolences to the families affected by the tragedy and pledged to provide further updates as the investigation progresses.

By Monday, the Clark County coroner’s office identified two of the victims as Owen Hart, 22, hailing from Saint George, Utah, and Jeremy Gebo, 44. As the authorities continue to piece together the events leading to this incident, the community remains united in mourning.
