BAKERSFIELD, CA — A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning following a motorcycle accident on Highway 58 near Coffee Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Details of the Crash
The crash was reported around 1:40 a.m. on April 4, 2026, on eastbound Highway 58, west of Coffee Road.
CHP investigators said:
- The rider was operating a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle.
- Driven at an undetermined speed
- For reasons still under investigation, he made an unsafe turning movement.
- The motorcycle left the roadway, traveled down a dirt embankment, and overturned.
- The rider was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.
The 29-year-old rider died from his injuries. His identity has not yet been publicly released pending notification of next of kin.
