La Puente Motorcyclist Killed in Tragic Freeway Crash in Baldwin Park

A fatal accident occurred on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Baldwin Park, claiming the life of a La Puente man.

Armando Coronado, 34 years old, tragically lost his life when his motorcycle collided with an attenuator, causing it to overturn and propelling him into traffic lanes. Subsequently, he was struck by two vehicles, according to authorities.

The crash occurred around 1:55 a.m. on Sunday, on the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway near the San Bernardino (10) Freeway. Coronado was riding a black 2018 Harley Davidson when it veered off the roadway, struck the attenuator, and was thrown into the traffic lanes.

A 2017 Honda and a 2015 Mercedes-Benz then struck him. Sadly, Coronado was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Honda and the Mercedes, as well as the passenger in the Mercedes, escaped injury.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the Baldwin Park motorcycle accident to determine the exact cause of the crash.
