GRAPEVINE, California – A fatal multi-vehicle accident on southbound interstate 5, just north of Fort Tejon Road, occurred on Sunday, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP received reports of a pickup truck blocking the second lane on southbound I-5, north of Fort Tejon Road. While officers were en route, two individual motorcyclists, traveling in the southbound direction, collided with the rear of the stationary pickup truck and were subsequently ejected.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported a 25-year-old rider to Kern Medical Hospital. Tragically, the other motorcyclist, aged 33, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash site, according to CHP.
CHP stated that there is no indication of drugs or alcohol playing a role in this California accident. The authorities cleared the scene on Sunday afternoon.
