Antioch, California — A 43-year-old Antioch man was tragically killed in a solo motorcycle crash on Monday morning. Authorities have not yet released his name, which is pending family notification.
The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. in the 4300 block of Hillcrest Avenue. Responding officers found the motorcyclist on the pavement, unresponsive and suffering from severe injuries. Medical responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings from traffic investigators indicate the motorcyclist was traveling northbound at a high speed when he lost control and collided with a sidewalk. The impact threw him from the motorcycle onto the pavement. Police have not confirmed whether he was wearing a helmet during the accident.
