Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Price Canyon Road

San Luis Obispo County, California — A 26-year-old man from Arroyo Grande was killed in a motorcycle crash on Price Canyon Road on Monday evening.

The incident occurred on June 3, 2024, at approximately 9:23 p.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers from the San Luis Obispo office responded to the scene following reports of a fatal traffic accident. The crash took place on the westbound lane of Price Canyon Road, east of Thousand Hills Road.

According to a CHP press release, the solo rider was operating a 2022 Yamaha MT-09 when he collided with a guardrail. The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle.

Emergency personnel pronounced the 26-year-old dead at the scene at 9:37 p.m. The CHP noted that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.

The fatal incident highlights the dangers faced by motorcyclists on California’s roads. Authorities urge riders to exercise caution and adhere to traffic laws to prevent such tragedies.
