DULZURA, CA — A heartbreaking incident unfolded on November 28, 2023, Sunday morning about a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 94, close to Highway 188, resulting in the untimely death of a 29-year-old man.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that this tragic motorcycle accident took place at approximately 10:30 A.M. under circumstances yet to be fully determined. The motorcyclist collided with another vehicle near the international border, between Campo and Dulzura, near the Tecate border area.

Upon receiving the distress call, paramedics and CHP officers swiftly responded to the scene. Medical personnel engaged in resuscitation efforts, attempting CPR to save the victim’s life. Sadly, despite their dedicated efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of his family members.
Fortunately, the two occupants of the vehicle involved in the collision emerged unharmed. However, the motorcycle accident resulted in the closure of both directions on Highway 94 for over one hour, a disruption confirmed by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
The CHP is appealing to anyone with information that could help in determining the primary cause of this tragic accident to come forward and assist with their investigation.
