MADERA County, California — Tragedy struck in Madera County as one person lost his life in a head-on motorcycle collision, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident occurred on February 13th, 2024, before 5:40 p.m. on Avenue 9 near Road 30.
CHP officers responded to a distress call alerting them to the crash scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motorcyclist veered into oncoming traffic for reasons yet to be determined, resulting in a collision with a black Nissan Altima.
The motorcyclist, who was reportedly not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the incident, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was promptly transported to Clovis Community Hospital for medical attention.
