The motorcyclist was ejected into a lane of oncoming traffic, where another vehicle struck and killed him before fleeing the scene. The driver of the Toyota Corolla remained at the site and is cooperating with investigators.

At the time of the crash, two eastbound lanes of I-80 were blocked east of Treasure Island, causing heavy delays. By 4:30 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
