Rancho Cordova, CA – A motorcyclist lost his life on the night of Sunday, April 6, 2025, after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in a DUI motorcycle accident in Rancho Cordova, according to local authorities. The crash occurred in front of the Chesapeake Commons apartment complex in the 3600 block of Data Drive near International Drive.
Accident Details
The Rancho Cordova Police Department and the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District reported that the accident happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. when a Nissan Altima struck a motorcycle while exiting the apartment complex.
The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Roman Kuzminskiy of Sacramento, was found unconscious by paramedics. CPR was performed on-site, and he was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
The car’s driver suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the driver is suspected of driving under the influence and will be arrested for DUI, resulting in death once medically cleared.
