Bridgeport Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 76-Year-Old Rider

[Bridgeport, CA] A devastating motorcycle crash near Bridgeport, California on May 29 resulted in the unfortunate death of a motorcycle rider. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Bishop Communications Center received an emergency call reporting a solo motorcycle accident. The incident occurred on US-395 southbound, approximately 10 miles south of Bridgeport, shortly before 9 a.m.

The initial CHP unit arrived at the scene and found a conscious 76-year-old male rider, although his condition was serious. Due to the remote location, they immediately requested an air ambulance for prompt medical attention. However, the situation took a turn for the worse as the rider became unconscious and lost his pulse shortly thereafter.

At approximately 9:40 a.m., a Careflight air ambulance arrived at the scene, aiming to provide immediate assistance. Despite the efforts of the medical team, they were unable to revive or stabilize the patient for air transportation. Regrettably, at 10:09 a.m., the rider was pronounced dead.
