Bay Area Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 10

WHITEWATER, California — A tragic incident unfolded on Interstate 10 in Whitewater as a 71-year-old Bay Area resident lost his life days after being involved in a motorcycle crash. The collision, occurring at approximately 2:40 p.m. on March 31, 2024, unfolded on the I-10 west of Haugen Lehmann.

Anthony Myles, identified as the rider involved in the accident and hailing from San Mateo, was navigating his 2021 Harley Davidson amid wet conditions. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Myles lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in his ejection from the vehicle.

Following the collision, Myles was quickly transported to a nearby hospital due to sustaining major injuries. Tragically, he was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

As authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the crash, the investigation remains ongoing, as stated by the CHP. The incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers posed by road accidents, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
