BARDSDALE, CA — The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Bardsdale that occurred Saturday evening on State Route 23, also known as Grimes Canyon Road, near Bardsdale Avenue, authorities confirmed.
The collision was reported around 5:50 p.m. in a rural farming area south of Fillmore, according to initial reports from CHP and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews from the Ventura County Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance. A Ventura County helicopter transported one patient to Ventura County Medical Center, said Sheriff’s Capt. Brian Slominski.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. The CHP Moorpark Area Office is leading the investigation.
